Russia and Uzbekistan will work together to fight against the rewriting of history. This was in Tashkent said the Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov after a meeting with President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirzieev, reports “WORLD 24”.
“Given the fact that next year Uzbekistan will be the Chairman in the CIS, and the year of jubilee, the year of the 75th anniversary of the victory in the great Patriotic war, we exchanged views on how to preserve historical memory. How to prevent the rewriting of history as to adequately treat veterans of war and labor, and how to educate the younger generation in respect for their feat. Preparing a range of documents on the CIS, and President Mirziyoev said that for him the celebration of may 9 as for the Russian leadership and citizens of Russia and Uzbekistan, is sacred,” said the Minister.
Also, according to Lavrov, Uzbekistan have already decided on the venue for nuclear power plants of new generation. It will be built by Russian specialists.
