The Mets eliminated from the playoff race

Defeated 4-3 by the Nationals on Saturday in Game 1 of a doubles program presented to Washington, the New York Mets were officially ruled out of the National League playoff race.

It was Josh Harrison who produced the winning point, in the sixth round, committing himself to an optional. Andrew Stevenson was the hero of the game for the Nationals, however, slamming his first two home runs of the season.

On the Mets side, Wilson Ramos and Amed Rosario both stretched out their arms.

Amed Rosario (1), Robinson Cano (24) and Robinson Chirinos (26)

Max Scherzer (5-4) obtained the victory while Miguel Castro (2-2) suffered the setback.
