The Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine has threatened Kazakhstan with a move for the words Tokayev on the Crimea

Earlier, the Kazakh President said that the Republic does not consider the reunification of the Crimea with Russia’s annexation.

KYIV, 4 Dec. /TASS/. Ukraine intends to take in respect of the Kazakhstan diplomatic measures because of the remarks of the President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Crimea. On Wednesday the official representative of the MFA of Ukraine Ekaterina Zelenko.

“Deeply concerned by media reports about the statements of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev for the denial of the annexation of Crimea by Russia”, – stated in the message on the page of the foreign Ministry in Facebook. According to the Ukrainian side, the statement of the President of Kazakhstan contradict “the established principles of relations between the two countries and internationally recognized position on Crimea, recorded in the resolutions of the General Assembly of the UN.” “The Kazakh side will make appropriate demarches,” added the Minister.

Earlier Tokayev in an interview with the media company Deutsche Welle stated that the Republic does not consider the reunification of the Crimea with Russia’s annexation. Answering the question whether the government of Kazakhstan are alarmed by events in Ukraine, namely the annexation of Crimea, he said that “annexation is a too heavy word in relation to the Crimea”.

“This is a very important and significant statement, which, of course, will contribute to the destruction of myths about the Crimea, created anti-Russian propaganda. We, Crimeans are grateful to Kazakhstan leadership for a fair and objective stance, a deep understanding of the situation,” wrote on Wednesday, the head of the Republic of Crimea Sergey Aksenov on the page in “Vkontakte”.
