In mid-August Samsung has officially unveiled the ISOCELL image sensor Bright HMX with a record resolution of 108 megapixels. It was created in conjunction with Xiaomi, and the first smartphones with this gauge of steel Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha and Xiaomi Mi Note 10 (aka CC9 Pro in the Chinese market). But soon 108-megapixel camera and get Samsung smartphones.
The developers found in the third beta version of original firmware One UI 2.0 reference 108-megapixel camera: the Samsung Camera now supports a resolution of 12 000×9,000 pixels, which in total is 108 000 000 108 pixels, or megapixels.
Specific smartphone model in the code there, but most likely, the first smartphone with such a camera becomes the flagship Samsung Galaxy S11. But the company also can “practice” on Galaxy A series: last year Galaxy A9 is the first smartphone with a camera on four modules.
Of course, the smartphone is unlikely to display the photo in full resolution: it is likely that several pixels will be combined into one to reduce noise. For example, Alpha Mi Mix 108 uses a MP sensor to create a 27-megapixel photos.
