The American division of Porsche has opened reception of orders for the sports car a 911 with a seven-speed manual transmission.
Still for the model of the new generation offered only eight-speed robot.
“Pen” is available for the 450-HP coupe and convertible in rear-wheel drive (Carrera S) and four-wheel drive (Carrera 4S) versions.
The difference in price with robotic modifications not, while in standard sports cars with manual gearbox included the Sport Chrono package and sameblock is differential with electronic control.
The rejection of the robot inevitably impact on the dynamics: if the Carrera S with PDK and Sport Chrono develops 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds and the Carrera 4S – 3.4 seconds in the case of mechanics, the manufacturer promises acceleration to 60 mph (96 km/h) “approximately 4 seconds”.
More exact data will appear when the sports car will go on sale. In the case of the US it will happen next spring.
