Despite a triple double from LeBron James, the Denver Nuggets defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 114-106 Tuesday in Orlando to take a 2-1 lead in the NBA Western Finals.
James had 30 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists in this meeting. His teammate Anthony Davis also did well with 27 points.
The Lakers elsewhere came within three points of the day's winners with just over four minutes to go, but Jamal Murray then made two three-point shots to give Colorado team enough cushion.
Murray finally totaled 28 points and 12 assists. Jerami Grant (26 points) and Nikola Jokic (22 points) also contributed to this victory.
The fourth part of this series will take place on Thursday evening. The Nuggets are looking for a first-ever final in 44 seasons in the NBA. The Lakers are for their part in search of a 17th title.
