A passenger of the C12 bus would have made particularly disturbing remarks targeting in particular Emmanuel Macron and France on December 22. The man, known to the police, was arrested the next day.
The national police did not take any risk by mobilizing its elite unit, the Raid, to arrest on December 23 a resident of Saint-Fons suspected of advocating terrorism. The day before, the man in his sixties had taken to task a passenger of the C12 bus by threatening Emmanuel Macron, the French and others, says Progress.
The suspect denied having said anything. He is known to the police for insults. Psychiatric analysis did not detect any mental alteration. He will be tried in immediate appearance on Monday, under the charge of defending terrorism.
