A team of American scientists through long-term studies have identified that diabetes may indicate cancer of the pancreas and to be the first sign of the deadly disease.
Scientists from the National cancer Institute in the US said that type II diabetes may appear on the background of early stage pancreatic cancer. The results of years of research have shown that most patients with diabetes, less than three years was diagnosed with a severe form of cancer.
New data confirm the hypothesis that the recent diabetes in pancreatic cancer is a manifestation of tumor development. Oncologists say that patients with diabetes represent a high risk group and should be further tested to prevent the development of dangerous diseases.
