The leaders of the Shanghai cooperation organization (SCO) has opposed discriminatory measures under any pretext that hinder the development of the digital economy, it follows from the Bishkek Declaration the Council of heads of States of SCO members, published on the Kremlin website.
“Member States will oppose the use of information and communication technology to undermine the political, economic and social security in the SCO countries, to prevent the propaganda of ideas of terrorism, separatism and extremism with the use of the Internet, oppose discriminatory measures under any pretext that hinder the development of the digital economy and communication technologies”, – the document says.
The SCO countries proposed to develop uniform rules, norms and principles of responsible behaviour of States in the information space. The leaders agreed to actively cooperate in this sphere for the sake of information security in the SCO space.
