The SCO will strengthen the fight against attempts to involve young people into terrorist groups

ШОС усилит борьбу с попытками вовлечь молодежь в террористические группировки

The countries of the Shanghai cooperation organization (SCO) will strengthen opposition to attempts to involve young people in the activities of terrorist, separatist and extremist groups, it follows from the Bishkek Declaration the Council of heads of States of SCO members, published on the Kremlin website.

The document States that in this regard will continue, “consistent implementation of the Joint appeals of the heads of state of SCO members to the youth and the Programme of action for the implementation of its provisions.” Special attention is paid to prevent the spread of religious intolerance, xenophobia and racial discrimination.

The leaders welcomed the adoption of the resolution of the 73rd session of the UN General Assembly “Enlightenment and religious tolerance.” They condemn “any form of propaganda of ideology of terrorism, extremism and religious intolerance, manifestations of intolerance and discrimination based on religion or belief”.
