© commons.wikimedia/Leonstthe Supreme court allowed the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC), which is in communion with the Moscow Patriarchate, save its name. This is stated in the court’s decision, which was published by the “Commander in chief” on Monday, December 16.
“The panel of judges agrees with the conclusions of courts of the previous instances, who found that registration authorities no action entry in the usr about the Kyiv metropolis of the UOC and of its structural religious organizations to resolve the dispute on the merits. Since the lack of such actions could greatly complicate or even make impossible the execution of the court decision in case of satisfaction of claims, and complicate effective protection and restoration of the rights and interests of the plaintiff, for the protection which he asked the court”, — stated in the decree.
Thus, the court left without satisfaction the appeal of the Ministry of culture of Ukraine on the renaming of the UOC, which was to specify in your title belonging to the Russian Orthodox Church.
