The trial of former host and producer Éric Salvail, opens tomorrow in Montreal and should last four days.
Salvail, 50, is charged with sexual assault, criminal harassment and forcible confinement, for events that allegedly took place in 1993.
Éric Salvail has opted for a trial before a judge alone. During the preliminary inquiry, which was held at the Centre judiciaire Gouin in the month of October last, five witnesses had been heard, including the complainant, Donald Duguay, who has spent almost a full day to answer questions from the lawyers.
The trial is expected to last until 20 February.
Éric Salvail, was arrested on January 15, 2019 in the wake of numerous allegations of sexual misconduct.
