The national Bank of Ukraine has announced that from November 5, it cancels restrictions on the volume of purchases of foreign currency and Bank metals in the course of the day. On the abolition of restrictions informs the press service of the NBU.
Now in Ukraine there are restrictions on purchase of foreign currency and precious metals — the transaction amount must not exceed the equivalent of 150 thousand UAH per day. November 5, purchases can be made without restrictions.
The national Bank argued that this change will not have a significant impact on the currency market, as the majority of transactions on purchase of currency in amounts less than 150 thousand UAH. In addition, the purchase and sale of foreign currency by the population proportionate today. And on the interbank market there is excess supply of currency on the part of business and investors.
“Liberalization of currency legislation and strengthening macro-financial stability has allowed the National Bank to cancel this year for more than 30 foreign exchange restrictions, including for the population,” — noted in the NBU.
