The world Bank (WB) has improved the forecast of growth of economy of Ukraine in 2019 to 3.6% from 3.4% estimated earlier. This was stated by the economist of the Bank in Ukraine Anastasia Golovach during the presentation.
“In 2019 we do not expect any surprises and I think that GDP this year will grow by 3.6%”, – she said.
Earlier growth forecast of the Ukrainian economy for 2019 and 2020 has updated the European Bank for reconstruction and development. Bank analysts expect that this year GDP growth will be 3.3 percent, and in 2020-m – 3,5%, whereas in may predicted 2.5% and 3%, respectively.
In the inflation report of the national Bank noted that in the third quarter of 2019, growth of the Ukrainian economy amounted to 3.5% compared to the same period of 2018.
We will remind, the Prime Minister Alexey Goncharuk declared the goal to achieve a GDP growth of 40% over five years: 5% in 2020, 7% in the next four years. Similar objectives in the program of government activities for five years.
