Thoroughbreds will offer us a taut thriller worn by young, rising stars of independent cinema.
The late Anton Yelchin, excellent in the Green Room and mostly known to the general public for his role of Chekov in the last Star Trek, died on the 19th June 2016 at the age of 27 years. Magré its tragic demise, the career of actor continues posthumously.
In fact, Anton Yelchin will appear again in three other films, including Thoroughbreds. A thriller directed by Cory Finley whosea trailer for rabid has just been released by Focus Features.
Thoroughbreds , tells the story of two teenage girls bourgeois who find themselves after years of evictions. Facing personal problems, they will develop a plan to resolve the situation and no matter the consequences. The two girls interpreted by Olivia Cooke (Me and Earl and the Dying Girl) and the new darling of thrillers to arias horrific Anya Taylor-Joy (Split, The Witch).
In these first images fully crossed, they seem to be in need of weapons and their contact, played by Anton Yelchin, doesn’t look reassured at all. For what purpose ? Suspense… Hailed at Sundance last January, the film was not released in the United States that the 9 next march. In France, no release date has been announced for the moment.
