Released from a Russian prison Ukrainian nationalists Vladimir Baluch and Mykola Karpyuk ( former leader of the UNA-UNSO – Ed) will work in the office of the Ombudsman.

“After his return from Russian captivity Mykola Karpyuk and Mr Baloch continue to engage in social activities,” – said Denisov.
According to her, a Memorandum was signed on cooperation for the prevention of torture of people in prison and other cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment and punishment.
“In the near future Nikolaichuk, head of public organization “Ukrainian center for the prevention of torture” my order will be appointed as a member of the Expert Council under the Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada on human rights, and Mr Baluch will be included in the Coordination Council on implementation of national preventive mechanism the Ombudsman”, – said the Ombudsman.
According to her, the first joint monitoring visit will be carried out in Lukyanivka prison to verify deficiencies identified during previous monitoring.
On 7 September took place the exchange of detained citizens between Ukraine and Russia. The plane with 35 Ukrainians landed in Kiev airport “Borispol”. Was released Oleg Sentsov, Alexander Kolchenko, Mr Baluch, Eden Bekirov, Evgeny Panov, Pavel Grib, S. Earlier, Denisov said that the arrested person on request of the Russian Federation in Poland, and then deported to Ukraine unsovets Igor Mazur, who participated in the war in Chechnya on the side of local separatists, also works in the Office of the Ukrainian Ombudsman, for the position of chief specialist.
