Tokayev and Sargsyan discussed in Nur-Sultan development of the EEU

The President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with Chairman of the Eurasian economic Commission (EEC) Tigran Sargsyan. The parties discussed the development of the Eurasian economic Union (EEU), said the press service of the President of Kazakhstan.

“During the meeting the sides discussed topical issues of development of the Eurasian economic Union, as well as the agenda of the forthcoming meeting of the Supreme Eurasian economic Council, dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the idea of Nursultan Nazarbayev on Eurasian integration and the fifth anniversary of the signing of the Treaty on the Eurasian economic Union,” – said in a release.

Tokayev during negotiations focused on the need to deepen multi-faceted cooperation of the countries – participants of the Union.

We will remind, on Wednesday, may 29, Nur-Sultan, under the chairmanship of the President of Kazakhstan will host the next meeting of the Supreme Eurasian economic Council. The event will be the first President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, presidents of Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Prime Minister of Armenia. In addition, as head of the state observer in the Eurasian economic Union will come the President of Moldova, Igor Dodon, and the guest of honor will be the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.

It is expected that the heads of state will discuss topical issues and prospects of development of economic enterprises, including the key areas of international activities of the EEU, the digitization and the macroeconomic policy priorities of the Union for the coming years.
