Tokayev and Tusk agreed to expand cooperation between Kazakhstan and the EU

To expand cooperation between Kazakhstan and the European Union agreed today at the highest level in Nur-Sultan. President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in the capital of Kazakhstan-President of the European Council Donald Tusk, reports “WORLD 24”.

“More than 50% of trade of Kazakhstan with the European Union. Many programs and strategies that should be implemented and which are already being implemented. As head of state I will continue the policy of cooperation with the EU”, – said the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

In turn, Donald Tusk stressed that Kazakhstan is a key partner for the EU in Central Asia.

“Kazakhstan is a key partner for the EU in the region. Your country is a bridge between Europe and the East and between Russia and Asia. In its new strategy for Central Asia, we propose to build stronger partnerships, deepen our cooperation in the fields of energy, transport and digital communications,” – said the President of the European Council Donald Tusk.

I should add that this trip to Asia last for Donald Tusk in the rank of Chairman of the Council of Europe.
