The President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed a decree on the transformation of the National Bureau of anti-corruption Agency anti-corruption, the press service of the head of state.
Anti-corruption service, according to the document, “is a law enforcement Agency engaged in the identification, suppression, disclosure and investigation of corruption criminal offences” and subject to the President.
Tokayev on Thursday signed a decree “On measures on improvement of state management system”. He also renamed the Agency for civil service Affairs and anti-corruption, which included the national Bureau, in the Agency for civil service Affairs. The Agency is an authorized state body in the sphere of civil service and control of observance of quality of rendering public services.
Previously, he signed a decree on the establishment of the National Council of public confidence in the President.
Wednesday Tokayev officially took office as head of state.
