Washington | Donald Trump said Monday that he would not validate an agreement on TikTok if the Chinese parent company ByteDance retained control of the new entity.
Asked on Fox News whether ByteDance could keep 80% of the shareholding, the US president replied, “If they do, we just won't close the deal.”
Oracle and Walmart “have a partnership” for TikTok. “They will buy it”, “they will have full control,” assured the host of the White House. “They are going to hold the majority stake.”
