Two pedestrians, including an octogenarian, were struck by a vehicle on Sunday in the Ville Mont-Royal sector, in Montreal.
After fear for his life was raised, the 88-year-old was out of danger by late morning.
The accident occurred around 9 a.m. at the intersection of Regent Road and Vivian Avenue.
The octogenarian was at the crosswalk, accompanied by a woman, when he was struck by the car.
The lady, she suffered minor injuries. She was hospitalized following a nervous shock, said the SPVM.
As for the driver, a 48-year-old man, he suffered no injuries.
The scene was still protected on Sunday shortly before noon to allow the police to shed light on this event.
