Unmanned Uber car hit and killed a woman in Tempe, a suburb of the capital of Arizona is Phoenix. The collision occurred when the woman was crossing the road in the wrong place, police said. The car was driving in autopilot mode, but the driver was a man, according to Bloomberg.
The accident occurred in the dark. Uber stated that he had expressed condolences to the family of the deceased. The company suspended testing of unmanned vehicles.
This is the first known accident with an unmanned machine, in which a man died.
