Representatives of naval forces of Ukraine and Turkey discussed the issues of bilateral cooperation.
In Odessa took place the 4th staff talks between representatives of the Naval forces of Ukraine and Turkey on military cooperation, the press service of the naval forces of Ukraine in Facebook.
“The main purpose of the meeting was to discuss the further development of cooperation between Ukrainian and Turkish departments, security issues in the black sea region, determination of priority directions of cooperation”, – stated in the message.
So, the first Deputy commander of naval forces of VSU Vice-Admiral Andrey Tarasov in the framework of the meeting noted the importance of joint efforts to stabilize the situation in the black sea region, given the threats from the Russian Federation.
In the Turkish Navy, in turn, stressed the importance of further cooperation between the navies of the two countries and discussed future plans in the field of military cooperation.
“The participation of naval units of the Turkish Republic in training “sea breeze” and carrying out joint trainings of the type “PASSEX” gives us the opportunity to exchange experience and this is very important for us. So very grateful for it and set for further work”, – quotes the words of Tarasova, the press service of naval forces of VSU.
In addition, the sides discussed holding joint exercises, training of personnel, including training military personnel of the Ukrainian Navy in educational institutions of the Turkish Navy.
