The diplomat was summoned to the foreign Ministry of Ukraine due to statements about autonomy of the Hungarian minority in Transcarpathia.
The Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine called the Ambassador of Hungary Istvan Idart and handed him a protest note, reports the press service of the foreign Ministry on Monday, December 2.
Diplomat summoned over his statements about autonomy of the Hungarian national minority in Ukraine and the blocking of the Hungarian side of the Commission Ukraine – NATO.
“During the meeting it was further noted that the Law of Ukraine “On education” does not violate the rights of Ukrainians of Hungarian origin, but rather gives them the best possible self-realization in Ukraine, which now has been confirmed by the Venice Commission”, – said the Minister.
We will remind, the Deputy head of the Transcarpathian regional Council Josip Barto stated the necessity of creating in the region of the Hungarian district with the center in Beregovo.
