At the meeting of the Belarusian-Ukrainian group on cooperation in the fuel and energy sector discussed issues on energy imports: it is projected that in 2020 Ukraine imports from Belarus 2.1 billion kW·h. However, the Ukrainian side stressed that the import of energy from the NPP out of the question.

“Electricity is a priority, – said the Minister of energy and the environmental protection of Ukraine Alexey Orzhel. – The NPP must begin working in February, you may receive a surplus of electricity. Of course, you should consider certain amounts of inter-state crossing in the energy sector”.

In the press release of the Ukrainian Ministry emphasized: the import of electricity m the NPP during a meeting of the working group was not discussed. Stated only the fact excess electricity production on the Belarusian market after the beginning of operation of the NPP. But “Ukraine is not going to buy such surplus” noted in the Ministry.
