Ukraine plans to sign with the European Union supplementary agreement to the Association Agreement in the sphere of justice.
This was announced by Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine for European and Euro-Atlantic integration Dmitry Kuleba.
“We have now proposed the EU to make a new addition to the agreement in the field of justice. This is a revolutionary thing. There will be a question on protection of personal data, combating corruption, money laundering, border crossing, etc.” – said Kuleba at the conference “Trade wars: the art of defense”.
Vice Prime Minister stressed that this addition will create a more attractive environment for business.
According to him, the Association Agreement in its present form was consistent in other realities, primarily based on the economic potential of Ukrainian business. “We say that the agreement must be brought in line with reality. It is very important to avoid the risk, when we will examine the agreement in detail, and then not be able to assemble everything together. It is very important to approach carefully from the point of view of legal technique and the negotiation process”, – said the diplomat.
Kuleba also expressed confidence that Ukraine and the EU can conclude Agreements on conformity assessment and acceptance of industrial products (Agreement on Conformity Assessment and Acceptance of Industrial Products).
