After Ukraine has identified 5 strategic areas for further work with NATO, the Secretary-General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Jens Stoltenberg said that Ukraine will become a NATO member.
He said this in an interview with the Television news service (TSN), transmit Ukrainian news.
“Ukraine will be a NATO member. This allies have stated several times. But you need to concentrate on reforms. It is good for Ukraine independently of NATO membership, but this will propel you closer to NATO membership”, – said Stoltenberg.
The question is not whether to leave the Alliance Ukraine “gray zone” between Russia and Europe, the NATO Secretary General said that Ukraine is a partner.
In addition, Stoltenberg said that even though Ukraine is not a full member of NATO, the Alliance remains committed to strong cooperation with the country.
In 2018, NATO said I’m not ready to invite Ukraine into the program extended features.
Later, President Vladimir Zelensky previously asked NATO to join Ukraine to the program extended features.
