Ukraine’s Central election Commission has registered candidates from Saakashvili’s party at parliamentary elections

The Central election Commission (CEC) of Ukraine has registered the candidates from the party “movement new forces” at the extraordinary elections to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. The party is headed by ex-President of Georgia and former Governor of the Odessa region Mikhail Saakashvili, reports “Interfax”.

Information confirmed by the former Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine and member of the party, Davit Sakvarelidze on his page in the social network.

23 June it became known that the CEC of Ukraine refused to register all representatives of Saakashvili’s party for violation of the requirements of the Charter. Later on, the corresponding Commission decision was reversed the Sixth appellate administrative court of Kyiv.

Recall that Mikheil Saakashvili was deprived of the citizenship of Ukraine by the decree of the President of Petro Poroshenko in 2017. Ukraine’s new President Vladimir Zelensky in may returned policy citizenship and he returned to the country.
