The CEC of Ukraine announced about a possible lack of ballots at the elections to the Parliament. About it reports the portal “Ukrainian news”.
According to the Chairman of the CEC of the country Tatyana Slipachuk, the Commission is prepared to carry out their functions and the conduct of extraordinary elections, however, under the current public procurement procedures, the CEC did not have time to print the ballots and the protocols for these elections.
As noted, the terms and procedure for public procurement do not take into account the transience of the election process of extraordinary elections, which will last only 58 days.
Recall that in Ukraine today officially started the election process for the early elections to the Verkhovna Rada. According to the law, the election process begins on the day following the publication of the decree of the President about it.
On the eve of the presidential decree of Vladimir Zelensky on the dissolution of the Verkhovna Rada and hold early parliamentary elections on 21 July, the government published the newspaper “Uryadovy courier”. Now the document officially entered into force.
Zelensky has signed a decree on the day after his inauguration on 21 may. The basis for the dissolution of Parliament, in particular, the President called the lack of a parliamentary coalition for more than 30 days, citing the relevant articles of the Constitution. Later, he also said that the support of MPs among the population: according to opinion polls, trust in Parliament is only 4% of the population.
