The revenues of Ukrtelecom from fixed telephony decreased by 7.8% and amounted to UAH 2 bn.
This was announced by Director General of the company Yuriy Kurmaz at a press conference in Kiev.
According to Kurmaz, revenues from fixed telephony decreased by 7.8% and made up UAH 2 billion, which was associated with reduction in subscriber base and the negative impact of theft and damage to Telecom infrastructure.
The total income of the company for the period amounted to 4.83 billion UAH (-1,2%). While revenue from telecommunication services amounted to 4.04 billion UAH.
The EBITDA margin increased by 1 PP (percentage point) – up to 28.5%.
Private subscribers of “Ukrtelecom” for January-September the services have been rendered nearly 2.59 billion, the business subscribers to 1.03 billion UAH.
The company in January-September has provided the individuals with services 1.47 billion, legal – 528 million UAH.
The revenues of Ukrtelecom from Internet service for the first nine months increased by 7% to UAH 1.32 billion.
In addition, the head of the company for January-September, 2019 “Ukrtelecom” paved almost 2.3 thousand km of fiber-optic cable in more than 80 settlements. Currently, the construction of the optics is carried out in the settlements of Vinnytsia, Volyn, Dnipropetrovsk, Zhytomyr, Transcarpathian, Zaporozhye, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kirovohrad, Lviv, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Poltava, Rivne, Sumy, Ternopil, Kharkiv, Kherson, Khmelnytsky, Cherkasy, Chernivtsi and Chernihiv regions.
Optical Internet “Ukrtelecom” today are 380 health and almost as many academic institutions, 150 the United territorial communities.
Thus, according to Kurmaz, debt of local authorities to Ukrtelecom for the provision of voice telephony services preferential categories of the population is 161 million.
“These cash resources “Ukrtelecom” would be enough to hold the optics and to provide optical Internet access, around 150 small settlements”, – he said.
Ukrtelecom is the largest fixed line operator in Ukraine, a significant portion of his clients are state agencies, educational institutions and medical facilities, emergency services.
Of the state property Fund of Ukraine according to the results announced in the autumn 2010 competition in early 2011 sold 92,79% of stocks “Ukrtelecom” the Ukrainian subsidiary of Austrian EPIC – LLC “ESU” for 10 billion 575.1 million UAH. Group “SCM” Ukrainian businessman Rinat Akhmetov purchased the “ESU” in 2013.
“Ukrtelecom” has finished in 2018 with a net profit of 506,9 million UAH (according to the audited statements), which is 45.1% less than at the end of 2017. EBITDA of the operator over the past year fell by 12% to 1,618 billion, revenue – by 2.3% to 6,449 billion.
