A chemical drug production network in the pay of criminal bikers was targeted by a large drug operation Wednesday, in Estrie.
More than 80 police officers from the Sûreté du Québec participated in the strike and a series of searches were underway at the end of the morning.
In particular, a property in the Canton of Stanstead was searched by the police.
Some residences suspected of being involved in the production of methamphetamine for the benefit of bikers were also targeted by searches.
According to the authorities' preliminary assessment, several tens of thousands of synthetic drug tablets had been found, a “large sum” of money, as well as various equipment and substances used to manufacture the drug.
