Venezuela officially left the Organization of American States (OAS). This was stated by Minister of foreign Affairs Jorge arreaza on the March by government supporters in Caracas, writes RIA “Novosti”.
“Today, the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela does not belong to the OAS, we have fulfilled all the deadlines and fulfilled the will of the Venezuelan people,” – said the Minister.
The decision to withdraw Venezuela from the OAS, President Nicolas Maduro announced in April 2017. However, technically, the procedure took two years.
According to Maduro, coming from the Organization, the country has been liberated from the “colonial policy of the United States.”
