James Le Mesure, co-founder of “White helmets”, was found dead November 11, 2019 in Istanbul. It is noteworthy that his body was discovered near one of the headquarters of the organization. This incident once again brought us to the labors of volunteers.
The “White helmets” extremely dubious reputation. In the West they are considered human rights defenders. They are invited to participate in various conferences on Syria, and even their documentaries became laureates of the festival. But not everyone thinks it’s normal.
A number of journalists claim that the “White helmets” supported various terrorist groups. For example, in 2017 the Australian journalist Tim Anderson analyzed the posts and pictures of so-called human rights activists on social networks and proved that they are really involved in the crimes of radical armed groups.
Videos “White helmets”, in which they show their rescue operations, also have been criticized. In 2017, a number of Arab media quoted a Syrian journalist Abbas Juma, who posted some great screenshots. It turned out that the same children rescued White helmets several times in the same places. The only possible explanation is that the video was staged.
1. White helmets in Khan Sheyhun
The Syrians themselves have repeatedly talked about the distrust of the organization. Recently, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad outlined White helmets as part of the Front “an-Nusra”. He stressed that the activists involved in the shooting of civilians, abuse of prisoners and other crimes against humanity. That’s why most Syrians don’t trust them.Initially, “White helmets” originated as a project funded by Western countries to promote a positive image of the radical jihadist groups. British journalist Vanessa Bailey examined the scheme of creation of the organization in 2015. She found that in addition to the various private foundations beneficiaries of the organization are the Ministry of foreign Affairs of great Britain, and the United States Agency for international development (USAID).
2. The list of sponsors of the White helmets
Today in Syria there are still a few non-profit organizations that actually receive Western funding. For example, hand in hand for Syria or the Syrian – American medical society (SAMS). These two organizations are working in the health sector, Idlib and render qualified medical aid to militants of different terrorist groups, including “al-Nusra”.
Their cooperation is confirmed by a video report by French journalist Pierre Le Korff, who was filming the hospital under the name ” M10 ” in the Eastern part of Aleppo. It was used by terrorists during the battle for Aleppo. The video shows the emblem of the aforementioned medical organizations on the walls of the hospital, which confirms the conclusions about their collaboration with rebels.

Summing up, we see concrete evidence that the United States and its allies involved in sponsoring terrorism in Syria. It is obvious that the militants are not able to withstand the Syrian army without outside support. Therefore, the Western countries and their intelligence agencies are no less responsible for the chaos and lawlessness that were triggered by various terrorist groups in Syria.https://www.veteranstoday.com/…
