The speed with which the pandemic COVID-19 was developed confirms our vulnerability to the emergence of new infectious agents.

However, despite all the force and destructive potential of this virus, it is important to remember that this is cancer which remains, far and away, the leading cause of death in our society, with 400 deaths per week, compared to an average 293,5 for the virus, since the beginning of the pandemic.
